I recently purchased a membership to Front Sight. I was looking for something to do now that I’m retired and this looked like fun. I wouldn’t describe myself as a “Gun Nut” or a “Second Amendment Fanatic” but I do enjoy shooting the few guns I have and I do believe in the Second Amendment. Anyway, I just returned from a 4 day “Defensive Handgun Course” and I have to say, it was a blast. It consisted of general handgun safety and target practice, but centered on using a hand gun to defend your self. This included how to safely search a house including a “Shoot House Simulator” similar to what you see SWAT teams use where, instead of just shooting at bulls-eye targets, you actually go through a mock-up of a house (room to room) and try not to shoot the target of the good guys, while shooting the targets of the bad guys. It was excellent training, hopefully I’ll never have to use it.
